Well I'm super excited right now!

(migraine not withstanding)

Going into this project I had a goal in mind for how much money I'd hope we'd raise for NZ. It was a relatively small goal, but I still had hopes of hitting it by the END of March.

Here we are - mid month - AND WE PASSED IT ALREADY!!!

I am so pleased with ALL of us - Designers, tutorial writers, donators - all of us together have

raised over $500 already, and the kit is only 3 days old!!

So let's step it up now - let's make a NEW goal of $1000 raised by the end of March - shall we??

One of the ways we ALL can help is by posting the TT4NZ Seasons flyer on our blogs, in our forum, yahoo, etc. if you haven't already. Another GREAT way to get folks to see your flyer on your blog, is to offer a freebie which always draws more people. It doesn't matter what kind - template, masks, scraps - anything will draw people in to see your flyer.

S.G. Rowe Designs, one of our Season's Designers, has this cute alpha on her blog that matches the Summer portion of Seasons.

Many of you (many, many, many) have written to me asking if I was going to organize another collaborative kit like this one to raise money for Japan, who has suffered unbelievable destruction this past week

Unfortunately I'm personally unable to do this again at this time - although I do wish I could. I'm moving across country in 2 months and have GOT to get to packing up my house and getting ready to skedaddle.

If someone else would like to pick up the ball and run with it however, I most certainly would be happy to contribute in any way I'm able.

I just added another crop of tutorials to the tuts page so be sure to check them out. :)

Imagine my shock when I opened my email this morning and found this incredible surprise! My Mom bought me SEASONS - I've only been talking about wanting it for weeks now, but I still couldn't believe that she did this for me. I've been downloading and peeking at the kits for hours already lol. I just had to write to tell you that I never expected this type of quality from a charity kit - kudos to everyone involved - and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time, talents and AMAZING generosity!......Rose

With less than 5 days to go before Seasons is released, the excitement level is super high amongst the Designers and everyone who has been helping me with this project. Very soon you're going to start seeing flyers popping up all over the place to announce that the kit is available, and I encourage anyone who doesn't receive one personally to snag it off of this blog when you see it to share on your blogs, Facebook pages and anyplace else you can think of to spread the word about this very worthwhile cause.

Even non-taggers can take advantage of this astounding kit. Because all of the papers and elements are

saved at Designer standard, the sizes of quality taggers kits make them perfect for card making, party favor bags and even Holiday ornaments. Do a google search for

"digital scrapkit hybrid projects"

and dozens of fun and useful ideas will pop up for you.

In the meantime, here are some more beautiful tutorials that Bev has written using an array of the Designers kits from Seasons to give taggers some exciting ideas. I'll have links to these kits as they're published posted right here on this blog, or you can visit HorsePlay's Pasture directly to find them all.

ATTN: DESIGNERS

All kits are due to me today, so if you' haven't gotten yours into me as yet,

now would be VERY good time lol.

I hope everyone is watching the donation tally moving up and up in the right side bar, as well as looking

over the previews in the navibar under the header of this blog.

If I've learned nothing by this project - other than the genorisity of the tagging community, it's that if you give a Designer a mission for a good cause, there's not much that will get in the way of them completing their task.

One of our Designers sadly lost her father - and got her kit to me before his services.

Another Designer was rushed to the hospital, and had her sister send her kit to me while she was undergoing tests.

And still another Designer is coping with a website crash, and has still promised me her kit will be delivered.

These Designers are delivering through their most difficult times,

will YOU deliver a donation to help the people of New Zealand?

I hope so.

These aren't just tags either, these are tutorials that will all be available the day that the kit is released
March 13.

Beverly of HorsePlay's Pasture Tutorials has generously been writing a tutorial for every single Designer's kit that is being donated!! As a tut writer myself, I can tell you this is one heck of an undertaking from a very skilled tagger/writer. You're a star Bev....tell me if you agree....

I've had a terrible time with the TT4NZ gmail account Designers. I just now received 5 emails that were sent to me on February 25th, and several Designers who I did indeed send a palette to never received it.
Please - if you wrote to me and haven't heard back, PLEASE resend it!!

It's time to start spreading the news if you haven't been already by referring your fellow taggers to this blog.

Taggers can now see previews of the kits being donated by clicking up on the linkbar.

A running tally of the money being raised is on the top of the right sidebar.

News updates on the aftermath of the quake are also on the linkbar.

At this writing, we have 44 Designers donating kits, with occasional latecomers still coming in, so it's NOT too late to join us! Remember - together we're making a difference.

Store & Forum Owners - How You Can Help

Here's an additional way that Digital Scrap Store owners can help out the TT4NZ initiative, and many thanks go out to Krissy of Exquisite Scraps for spear heading this idea!!

All you need to do is set up a category in your store's zen cart titled Taggers2Gether4NZ and ask each of your Designers to donate the sales of one or more of their store items by adding it to this section via the multiple categories listing in the attributes section. Then you can come in here and donate weekly the sales from that category to the Salvation Army of NZ by clicking the linkbar above.

Any store doing this should email me taggers2gether4nz@gmail.com, and I'll send you a banner for your storefront showing that you're taking part in helping out this worthwhile cause and I'll snag yours to post it here on this blog as well. This is a great way for your Designers to help out if they don't feel they have the time to participate in the kit!!

Forum owners - all you need to do is make a minimum donation of $5 to the Salvation Army's website and we'll post your forum blinkie as a donator! I'm sure your Aussie and Kiwi members would appreciate it. Just go up to the linkbar and click on "How To Donate 4 Seasons" and follow the instructions.

How true are those words? As Designers we have a multitude of design projects going on at the same time, we advertise, we read 100's of emails a day, we participate in blog trains, we manage Creative Teams/stores/blogs..... The list is never-ending for us, isn't it? But sometimes, real life throws us a blow and we need to step back, take a breath and re-evaluate our priorities for a bit.

This is one of those times.

A tremendous number of members in our tagging & designing community have had their worlds turned upside down recently. I'm talking of course, about the devastating Earthquakes in New Zealand, centered in a city called Christchurch although the damage has reached hundreds of miles in every direction. At this writing, there are 97 confirmed dead, with hundred more still missing and unaccounted for. These are our online friends, our digiscrap store owners, our designing partners and our customers. Personally I have 3 of the aforementioned deeply affected by these quakes, one has lost a dear friend. I can't sit by and watch this type of suffering and just offer cyber hugs any longer - it's not enough.

It is within OUR power to make a difference.

I've organized this group - Taggers2Gether for the purpose of raising money to be given to the Salvation Army of New Zealand's Canterbury Quake fund. Absolutely no money will be handled by myself or anyone else, all proceeds of this endeavor will be donated directly via the Red Cross' website.

What is involved for you?

If you're reading this, you've already received an invitation outlining the project, but here it is again. I'm asking every designer I know of to participate in the creation of an enormous mega-kit entitled
~ Seasons ~
Once you agree to participate by emailing me at taggers2gether4nz@gmail.com you will be sent a color palette and the season which you are to design a taggers sized kit around within 24 hours. The seasons will be equally dispersed among the participants so each is represented equally. This theme was chosen because we are members of a community that reaches all parts of the world, each in a different Season at the moment. This kit will then be of interest to the entire tagging community thus raising more money for NZ.

Because the need is so urgent and immediate, I would ask that you complete and return to me via a zip file of your donated kit AND your blinkie by March 8th. I will re-upload your zip to my own 4shared account purchased for this project, so it won't even take up your valuable file sharing space. Please name your kit accordingly:
Your Designer Name - TT4NZ - Your Season
In your zip include your own TOU and blinkie. DO NOT name the pieces of your kit paper1, paper2, etc. This only causes confusion to those that "purchase" the kit. Please name each piece like this:
Designer name - TT4NZ - Your Season - and then paper1, element1 - or however you usually name the elements of your kits.

Your part is now done! You've done your part and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Once the kit is ready to go, I will send you a flyer that you can place on your blog to advertise it and your participation in it.

As an added bonus for joining this amazing project, Up Your Art has generously donated to send a Gift Certificate for any tube of your choice to EACH Designer taking part in TT4NZ after their kit is received! Our deepest thanks go out to Raps for this unbelievable donation.

What happens next?

The kit will officially go "on sale" to the tagging community on March 13th here on this blog. That will give me enough time to get all of the zip files loaded to 4shared and get this blog ready with your blinkies. I will send out an ad via Yahoo Groups, Facebook, and my own blog. I will also send the flyer to tagging forum owners for posting in their forums. The ad will direct them here to this blog. See the button on my linkbar above that says "How To Donate 4 Seasons"? Click that to see how the donation process will work.
